For today's entry I painted a pear. I've been trying to work on value as I paint and concentrate not only on the shadow, but on the reflection the pear cast on this hard surface.

Interesting Wikipedia facts:
- Several species of pear are valued for their edible fruit, while others are cultivated as ornamental trees.
- In 2010, The People's Republic of China was the top producer of pears at 15,231,858 tons. Second in line was the United States at 738,085 tons.
- Pears are a good source of dietary fiber and a good source of vitamin C. Most of the vitamin C, as well as the dietary fiber, is contained within the skin of the fruit.
